Meet Patricia

My name is Patricia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing counseling in the state of Texas. I received my Bachelor in Social Work from the University of North Texas and my Masters in Social Work from Texas A & M University-Commerce. My experience is very diverse as I have been in the helping profession for over 10 years working in various settings including schools, medical, psychiatric hospitals and managed care companies. I have the most experience working with faith issues, women’s issues, anxiety, depression, life transition, grief, at-risk youth, ADHD, postpartum, parenting and chronic illness. My specialties include anxiety, depression, women’s issues, faith issues and chronic illness. I’ve worked with adolescents, young adults, adults and couples using a collaborative and holistic approach to help them identify their fears, triggers and stressors that are holding them back from living life to the fullest.

My heart for counseling comes from my personal life experience and a strong desire to break the stigma about mental health and educate others on how prioritizing your mental health helps you achieve wholeness. Your mental health affects every area of your life including physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially; and it is imperative to take care of the Whole Mind.

My theoretical approach is primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered while incorporating a Strengths-Based approach. This means that I seek to empower and support my client in their journey to wholeness in helping you reframe negative thought patterns, uncover your uniqueness and inner strength by offering a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, warm, compassionate and accepting. I can also provide a faith-based (christian) approach upon request using biblical principles.

Deciding to start therapy can be a scary decision which takes courage but we can navigate these challenges together when you’re ready.  I’m looking forward to walking with you in your journey to wholeness.
